Security Specialist
Job Summary
- To manage and process regulatory requirements related to Security Operations Center reportorial and process standard, supervise outsourced staff responsible for the operation related but not limited to News Monitoring and Analysis, CCTV Monitoring, CCTV Review, Access Control, Alarm Monitoring, Visitor Management, Background Investigation of Non-Associates, Scheduled Preventive Maintenance of Security Equipment and Service Calls to fix security equipment.
- To assist line manager in providing effective administrative support for the daily operation, which include but may not be limited to onboarding associates and retrieval of assets from offboarding associates, and assist in the creation and improvement of process and guidelines related to physical access management.
- To assist in performing department-wide administrative / financial responsibilities such as the processing of purchase orders, request for payment, preparing various
reports and trackers (e.g.: weekly and monthly reports)
General Responsibility:
1. Maintenance of Security Equipment
- Supervises day-to-day operation of internal and outsourced staff in the maintenance of security equipment
- Ensures Periodic Preventive Maintenance (PPM), complete documentations are carried out correctly as scheduled
- Ensures activities are within corporate standards on safety and quality
- Creates/Updates/Closes D3 IR as needed
2. Manage and supervise the daily end to end process of Security Equipment Management from receipt to disposal.
- Supervises the receiving of new and repaired assets from different vendor suppliers
- Coordinate with Asset Management to have such assets tagged
- Manages Physical Asset Inventory
- Supervises asset deployment, asset movement or transfer, and repair and maintenance
- Manages retrieval of assets from offboarded associates, including closure of clearance
- Coordinates with Asset Management and Facilities in the processing of Asset Disposal
3. Closely monitors schedule to ensure 24/7 staff availability in the SOC
- Monitors performance and ensures compliance to Service level agreement (SLAs)
4. Review CCTV Results to ensure accuracy of reports
- Reviews the elements in the file report for inconsistencies - date, time, area, monitored activities and screenshots
- Checks that the relevant CCTV footage indicated in the report have been backed up
- Creates/Updates/Closes D3 IR as needed
5. Validates Findings in CCTV Monitoring
- Checks to ensure the findings during the conduct of CCTV Monitoring is valid
- Emails such findings to GWS SAS Team
- Creates/Updates/Closes D3 IR as needed
6. Validates Findings in Alarm Monitoring
- Checks to ensure the findings in Alarm Monitoring is valid
- Creates/Updates D3 IR as needed
- Emails such findings to GWS SAS Team
- Creates/Updates/Closes D3 IR as needed
7. Conducts Quarterly Badge Access Review
- Checks to ensure the access levels for each individual issued with a badge is correct
- Emails such findings to GWS SAS Team
- Creates/Updates/Closes D3 IR as needed
8. Department Administrative / Reporting Responsibilities
- Prepares and update weekly and Monthly SOC Performance
- repares and update Monthly News Analysis
- Checks weekly badge report in C1PH, Bangalore and other sites that may be added
- Checks weekly temporary badge utilization
- Monitors and updates the department budget tracker to ensure appropriate and efficient spending
9. May be assigned / rotated across related sub-functions including but not limited to sub-functions within Security
10. Other job related duties that may be assigned from time to time
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
- Educational Background: College Graduate or with equivalent work experience
- Professional Experience: 3 years work experience in related field
